Biography

One of the brightest young talents in the country, Lia set the league alight in 2023. The marauding winger from Malahide in North County Dublin won the Players’ Young Player of the Year, and Supporters’ Young Player of the Year at the club and was awarded the SSE Airtricity Young Player of the Year.

Lia also won Goal of the Season at the club for her brilliant strike against Athlone Town on the final day of the season.

A talented athlete and gymnast in her childhood, Lia began playing football at an early age in nearby Portmarnock with their Nippers Academy before joining the Shelbourne Academy. Lia made her senior debut for the club coming on as a substitute against DLR Waves in April 2022. Lia was part of the club’s double-winning squad before joining Rovers in 2023 ahead of our inaugural season back in the league.
