Shamrock Rovers F.C. is pleased to announce the signing of Fiona Owens from Athlone Town AFC. The right-back makes the move to Tallaght ahead of the opening game of the season on Saturday.

Speaking on her arrival at Rovers, Owens said: “I am delighted to sign with Rovers for the 2024 season. The group and staff have made me feel so welcome and I’m excited to get back playing soccer with them after a long-term injury. Hopefully, I can add to the already strong squad and play that they’ve built from last season.”

“I am delighted to add Fiona to our ranks. She is a dynamic and attack-minded fullback who will bring great energy to the team. Beyond her technical abilities, Fiona embodies the mindset and determination that we look for in our players, making her a perfect fit for the team’s ambitions.”
