Type: Full-time, Permanent. Matchday and some evenings/weekends required.

Shamrock Rovers, the most successful football club in the Republic of Ireland, is owned by a combination of members & private investors. The club is overseen by a board of Directors. We are a dynamic and ambitious sporting organisation based in Dublin, dedicated to promoting excellence and participation at all levels of football. With a growing portfolio of programmes, events, and partnerships, we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Marketing Executive to join our team and develop and lead our marketing strategy.

Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a Marketing Executive, responsible for delivering marketing campaigns that grow attendances, merchandise sales, digital engagement, and sponsor value across the men’s, women’s and academy football departments.

The successful candidate will combine data driven marketing proposals, with commercial acumen and a creative mind to grow the brand and deepen engagement with an already very strong social media following.

This role is ideal for someone with marketing qualifications, and a passion for football, who is looking to make a significant impact in a professional football club environment.

As a Marketing Executive at Shamrock Rovers F.C., you will spearhead our marketing and communication endeavours. Collaborating closely with the CEO, our Commercial Manager, our Head of Media and Communications, and a dedicated team of volunteers, you will be instrumental to the growth and success of the SRFC brand in Irish football and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

•     Build out on the club’s brand audit and overall communications strategy

•     Plan and run seasonal and match-by-match campaigns

•     Drive sales for season tickets, matchday hospitality, LOITV streaming and retail drops.

•     Manage day-to-day CRM/email marketing: segmentation, automations, database growth, reporting.

•     Coordinate creative with media and design: briefs, copy, assets, print, video.

•     Support paid social/search campaigns: brief, launch, test, report, improve.

•     Present post campaign analytics to demonstrate return on investment.

•     Deliver matchday comms and promotions in-stadium and online.

•     Build co-branded campaigns with sponsors and provide performance recaps.

•     Promote community programmes and club events.

What success looks like

•     Ticket and attendance targets hit.

•     Season ticket/membership renewals and new sales up.

•     Retail revenue lifts during key campaigns.

•     CRM list and engagement grow month to month.

•     Digital metrics improve (web, app, social, LOITV).

•     Sponsor campaigns delivered on time with solid reach.

Key Requirements

Essential

•     2+ years marketing/comms experience (sport, events, retail, or subscriptions a plus).

•     Track record delivering multi-channel campaigns end-to-end.

•     CRM/email platform experience and comfort working with data.

•     Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills to effortlessly juggle multiple marketing administrative tasks with utmost efficiency.

•     Passion for social media to captivate audiences.

•     Demonstrate an ability in crafting and managing engaging social media content across platforms such as Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, as well as impactful email campaigns.

•     Embody a dual creative/analytical mindset, blending artistic flair with the ability to leverage data and metrics to evaluate marketing campaign performance, and make well-informed recommendations.

•     Display exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at presenting ideas with eloquence and fostering seamless collaboration within a team environment.

•     Possess self-motivation, proactivity, and the ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team setting.

•     Radiate a profound passion for sports and an authentic interest in fan engagement.

•     Able to work fixture-driven hours.

Desirable

•     Experience in the sports or events sector.

•     Football club or live sport marketing background.

•     Basic design/video tools literacy (Adobe/Canva etc).

•     Knowledge of League of Ireland.

•     Experience in sponsor activations or community marketing
