From the junior development academy and DDSL sections through to National League squads, the Shamrock Rovers Academy is built to move players up the pathway - and into the first team. Based at Roadstone in Kingswood, Dublin 22 and run to professional academy standards.

The pathway
The academy is organised so that players can progress through every age group within one structure - supported by dedicated off-pitch departments and measured against the standards used by top professional academies.
Oversees the running of the academy across every age group, from the junior development academy and DDSL sections through to the National League teams, implementing the structures used by leading professional academies.
Leads the coaching strategy and coach development across the academy, working directly alongside the operations function and reporting to the club CEO.
The academy works to Professional Game Academy Audit Company (PGAAC) standards and the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) framework - benchmarks with no equivalent yet in the League of Ireland.
Dedicated Education, Strength & Conditioning and Performance Analysis departments support player development off the pitch, all based around the Roadstone facilities.
Girls Academy
The Girls Academy has expanded across age bands from U10 through to U16, with two sides competing weekly in the DDSL. An ETP programme, delivered in association with Coerver Coaching, runs alongside the squads to develop technical ability and grow the girls' game.
The pathway is designed to move players up through the age groups and into the women's senior setup at the club. Coach development is a core part of the programme, with sessions set aside to support coaches through their own education pathway.
In the community
The Partner & Affiliate model brings the community closer to the club. SRFC coaches share expertise with clubs across a wide catchment - and bring new supporters to Tallaght Stadium.
Three established partner clubs, with SRFC coaches visiting monthly to support coach development and partner-club teams training at Roadstone.
Around twenty-four affiliate clubs across Dublin, Meath and South Leinster. SRFC coaches travel out to deliver sessions on site every four to six weeks.
