Conor Grant departs for Sheffield Wednesday.

All at Shamrock Rovers F.C. would like to wish Conor Grant well on his move to Sheffield Wednesday. Conor joined our U17s squad last January from Malahide Utd. A fantastic elegant footballer who excited everyone at the club we have no doubt he will go on to have more success in the game.

Shamrock Rovers Academy Director Shane Robinson said: “Conor first came to our attention playing for the DDSL. A talented individual with the ability to go by his opponent with a drop of the shoulder. He has attributes we are looking to bring into our first team and has been a pleasure to work with in the short time he’s been here. We wish him all the best in his new adventure”.

Sporting Director Stephen McPhail said that: “Shamrock Rovers have a pathway to professional football and is committed to providing this for home grown talent. Despite this Conor is an example of our endeavours to give young players a platform to excel and showcase their talents. If players like Conor go on to have a successful career in other countries then we will have played our part”.

Conor will travel with the U17s to Kerry on Sunday and play his last game for the club before his move to Sheffield Wednesday.

Good luck Conor – you’ve got some new supporters who no doubt will follow your progress closely.
