Shamrock Rovers are away tomorrow night (Friday) playing Drogheda United in United Park at 7.45pm.

Speaking today with Rovers’ Head Coach, Stephen Bradley, started with a comment on the Hoops last game which was a 3-2 win against Finn Harps:

“I thought first half we were excellent, it could have been 3-0 or 4-0, we dominated everything. In the second half we stopped playing. We stopped competing and they came back into the game, and we were relieved to get the win in the end because the game should have been over and done with at half time, and we just didn’t start second half”.

On three great goals and Madden’s late winner:

“We’ve been due that bit of luck all year, with penos and shots off bars, the two go in off the crossbar and then Simon’s one, so it’s great that that seems to turn for us. Davey’s strike was top class.”

On Drogheda:

“It’s a tight pitch, Drogheda will work hard and be competitive but we’ve got to make sure that our mindset is right, that we’re ready to go there and do a job, and approach it in the right way. If we do that our ability will come through. We have to go and approach it as they will, play at the same tempo and desire as we did in the first half last week, if we do that I think we’ll be fine. Gary (Shaw) is back in training, everyone’s back in so they’re all fit.”
