Shamrock Rovers play away this weekend at St Patrick’s Athletic with a 5pm kick off at Richmond Park on Saturday.

Speaking today with Rovers’ Head Coach, Stephen Bradley, started with a comment on the Hoops last game at home v Cork City and said that:

“I thought we deserved to win the game, we were the better team, especially second half I think we penned them into their half for large periods, we played some really good football, we just couldn’t finish them off and we give away two silly goals which is disappointing but I thought we were excellent overall.”

On Saturday’s game v St Pat’s;

“We just have to go, nothing changes for us, we go and play the same way, obviously cut out the errors. We go and approach the game the same way, the same mentality, same desire and we go and win the game. It’s important for us to go and turn these performances into wins.”

On Pat’s still looking for their first win;

“It’s a given that every team raises their game against us. So whether Pat’s are bottom of the league or top, it’s going to be their cup final tomorrow, they’re playing Rovers, so we’ve got to be prepared for that and ready for that and ready to match it.”

On injury news at Shamrock Rovers in advance of tomorrow’s game he said:

“Paul Corry has taken a bit of a knock on his knee, he’ll be missing for a couple of weeks, and we just have to wait on Ryan Connolly, he had a problem with his foot last week, he played and it just hasn’t recovered as quick as we thought it would, so we’ll give it another 24 hours and see how it recovers.”
