Shamrock Rovers U19s travelled west to Salthill yesterday looking to get back to winning ways.With the game level at 0-0 at half time the hoops were unlucky not to be leading with Jack Memery striking the cross bar from 25 yards and the seeing an another effort fly narrowly over just before the break. The Hoops started the 2nd half where they left off in the 1st by dictating the play and deservedly took the lead in the 59th minute when Thomas O'Rourke latched onto a through ball and forced a good save from the keeper only for Karl McGrath to calmly slot home the rebound from 12 yards.

The introduction of Kelvin Jackson in the 75th minute added to Rovers already dominating attack and it was Jackson who crossed in the 81st minute for Lorcan Shannon to powerfully strike home for the edge of the area to give the Hoops a valuable away win.
