Squad number 39
Signed just before the start of the Under 19 season. Lee is a prominent goalkeeper in Dublin GAA circles having played for Crumlin for three years and is currently with the Dublin Minor footballers. He has been a soccer ‘keeper too since his very young years and played for his local club, Crumlin United from the age of six to thirteen. Then followed a spell at St Kevin’s before he moved on to Cherry Orchard. He was on the Crumlin team that won a unique treble at Under 13 level.

Dean joined up with Shamrock Rovers in July having previously played as right full and in the middle of the park for Lourdes Celtic. He was team captain at Lourdes for the previous two seasons and his endeavours on the pitch earned him the honour of Player of the Year in both 2009/10 and 2010/11.

James joined Shamrock Rovers this year from Portlaoise AFC after he impressed immensley with the Rovers youth team that took part in the Ciociaria Cup in Italy during the early summer. James would normally play at right full or centre half but can also play in midfield. A strong and neat performer, he has made ten international appearances with the Republic of Ireland at Under 15 and Under 16 level. He began the 2011/12 season with the Hoops' Under 18's and was promoted to the Under 19's in December.

Signed for Rovers during the summer of 2010 and made an immediate impact playing alongside Jeff Flood. Previously with Crumlin United with whom the All Ireland Cup at Under 16. Good on the ground and in the air, a stylish central defender.

Played as centre half and left full with the A team and Under 20’s last year having joined mid way through the season from Crumlin United. Jack is a clinical defender, giving very little away at the back and is a major plus to any team. He played no small part in the winning of the Under 20 league title last year.

Former Park Celtic and St. Joseph’s Boys player who signed recently for Rovers from Crumlin United. Paul has represented the DDSL at Under 15 and Under 18 level and is an All-Ireland Cup winner from his time at Crumlin. He normally plays in the centre of the park.

Kelvin is a very exciting player who can play on either the right or left side of midfield, right being his preference though. He signed for Shamrock Rovers in late September having spent the previous three years at Lourdes Celtic. He has also played for Cherry Orchard and St. Kevin’s Boys. At Cherry orchard he won league honours at Under 10, Under 11 and Under 12. He also won All Ireland Cup honours at Under 12 with the Orchard. Kelvin, who captained the FAI Development Squad at the Galway Cup, was with the Liverpool FC Academy for the most recent three years.

Dublin-born Lorcan has previously played for Home Farm and came to Shamrock Rovers in July 2011. A right winger with the ability to beat opponents and deliver good crosses into the box. He likes to get onto the score sheet regularly too. Lorcan has three Republic of Ireland caps and has been consistently selected to represent the DDSL from U11 right through to U18.

Garry first played for Shamrock Rovers at Under 15 level where he impressed in the middle of the park. A stylish performer who is never shy of making the right tackle, he was promoted to the reserves last year but continues to line out with the Under 17’s also.

Small but lively central midfield player who appears to have an unending supply of energy. Charlie joined Rovers last year from St. Joseph’s Boys and was part of the squad that travelled to the Milk Cup. Intelligent player and a joy to watch.

Steven moved up from the SRFC Under 17 team in January having impressed with the youths. Originally a goalkeeper with St. Francis, but developed into a central midfield player at Esker Celtic. Also played for Castleknock and Crumlin winning All Ireland Cup honours with the latter before joining Shamrock Rovers. Steven is delighted to have made the move up, apart from his desire to succeed at a higher level, he is a huge Hoops fan. .

Niall joined the Hoops in July having spent the previous four seasons at Templeogue United. He plays in and around midfield and also up front. He has All Ireland Schools honours with Jobstown Community College as well as U12 and U13 league winners medals from his time at Crumlin United.

Yet another summer 2011 signing from Templeogue United. Sean already has an impressive haul of medals from his time in the game with Templeogue and Crumlin and is hoping to add more during his time with the Hoops. He has four league medals and three All Ireland Cup medals and has also represented the Leinster Youths Squad.

Former St. Francis player who is yet another of the new signings for the Hoops this summer. Dean plays either in the centre of midfield or up front. He has an Under 13 Premier league winner’s medal under his belt and has come close to winning other honours having two All-Ireland runner’s up medals to his credit.

Thomas played most of his Schoolboy football at Mountview Boys FC and was team captain there since Under 11’s. During that time he has won numerous league and cup honours and is now looking to push on a step further playing in the green and white hoops.

Former St. Joseph’s Boys player who joined the Hoops last year. Ciaran was also on the Under 17 team that played against Manchester United at the Milk Cup. A strong and tall player whose presence on the pitch can’t be underestimated. He has a pretty good goals tally and is an excellent addition to the Hoops’ A team.

Declan came to Rovers four years ago following a successful spell managing Crumlin United’s Under-21 League of Ireland team. Prior to that Declan worked for seven years as a staff coach for Manchester United. Also had a spell as a coach to the Republic of Ireland Under-16 team that participated at the Montaigu tournament in France in 2007 and won the Ballymena tournament later that year. Declan adds the Kennedy Cup, Northern Ireland Foyle Cup, LOI A-Championship and LOI Under-20 League to his list of creditable honours. A highly respected coach, Declan has a wealth of experience developing the cream of young elite players.
Having managed a team with Shamrock Rovers Schoolboys since 2009, Shane joined the A Team/U 19 set up in July 2011. While looking after the Under 16’s last year he stood in to also manage the Under 10’s when there was no manager and despite having his hands full he also coached for the SRFC Community Schools Programme and the SRFC Schoolboys Academy. Shane is currently pursuing a UEFA B coaching badge.
Long-serving goalkeeper coach with St. Maelruan’s who joined Rovers in 2010. Played as a goalkeeper with Dublin Bus and St. Maelruan’s in LSL. Has previously worked with a lot of clubs in the Tallaght area. Rated by Andy Myler who, asked Tony to join the team. Part of the backroom staff to the 2010 Under-20 League title win.
Willie is a life-long Hoops fan who has made his way up the ranks managing and coaching SRFC Schoolboy teams since 1999. Linked up with the then Under-21 set up in 2006 and has continued to serve the reserves as a physio, with distinction. Invaluable to the A-team set-up and a very popular figure with the players. Very dedicated to his role, always willing to help out anyone in need. Part of the backroom team to the 2007 FAI Futsal, 2009 A-Championship and 2010 Under-20 League title wins.
