The Hoops overcame a battling Distillery side to reach the semi-finals of the Setanta Sports Cup with goals from Kilduff, Rice and a brace from Paddy Kavanagh.
A lively start to the game saw Kilduff shooting just over on 3 minutes and Cushley should have done better in front of goal a minute later for the visitors.
However the northern side took the lead on 14 minutes after Pat Flynn was caught napping and Gary Browne took advantage to fire a low shot past Thompson in the Hoops goal.
A Dean Kelly free-kick from 25 yards clipped the cross bar on 18 mins and 7 mins later a fine ball from O'Donnell found Sheppard in acres of space and he raced into the area but his final cross was well defended.
A great run from captain Dan Murray on 30 mins saw him link with Kelly and he broke into the box on the left to cross low past goalkeeper Brennan but Sheppard saw his goal bound shot cleared off the line.
On 36 mins Kavanagh sent Kilduff in on goal but a combination of Muir and Cushley prevented the Rovers striker from getting a strike on goal.
The Hoops equalised in the 42nd minute when Doyle and O'Donnell set up Kilduff on the right-hand side of the box and the Hoops number 11 took the ball past Brennan before coolly slotting the ball home.
Kilduff almost grabbed a second just before the break as he met a McCormack cross but Brennan brilliantly tipped his header onto the crossbar.
However Rovers took the lead just after the restart as Sheppard teed up Rice to shoot past Brennan just inside the box. Kavanagh then forced Brennan to save when set up by O'Donnell's back-heel and Rice shot wide on the left following a pass from Kavanagh.
Kilduff rounded Brennan in the 54th minute but Kelly couldn't latch on to Sheppard's header across goal. Lisburn Distillery equalised on the night when Browne saw his cross from the bye-line on the left beat Thompson and Liggett headed into the net from very close range.
Paddy Kavanagh popped up to grab a brace of goals in the final 10 mins first of all availing of some good play from Finn and Rice to shoot past Brennan before racing into the box down the left to turn Cushley and shoot into the net.
Paddy had a chance of a hat-trick in the dying minutes as the visitors tired when well placed on the right-hand side of the box but elected to cross for Kilduff and a defender got back to clear.
