Rovers under 19's play Sligo Rovers at home this Sunday in the Enda McGuill Under-19 Memorial Cup.
Shamrock Rovers v Sligo Rovers / Sunday 5th February, 2.00pm / Tallaght Stadium After scoring 14 goals in their last 2 games, the lads will be confident going into this one against their North-West rivals who are making their second visit to Dublin in the competition. Sligo have won 2 and drawn 3 of their 11 games played in the Northern Division of the Under-19 league. However, they caused a major upset in Round 1 when they defeated St. Patrick's Athletic 2-1 at the ALSAA Complex beside Dublin airport 2 weeks ago. To show just how seriously Sligo are taking this, their manager Gavin Dykes was present at Rovers 8-1 win over Wexford Youths last Saturday, despite his own team being in League action at exactly the same time (a game they lost 3-2 at Monaghan Utd). The game is scheduled to take place at Tallaght Stadium but keep an eye on this website for any weather-dictated alterations. Admission, as always, is free and all are welcome along to support the Young Hoops.
