Ataxia Fundraiser

Shamrock Rovers F.C. is supporting an awareness and fundraising campaign for the Friedreichs Ataxia Society Ireland.

As many supporters will know, club left back Enda Stevens lost his dear sister Elaine in recent months, Elaine suffered from ataxia. As part of the awareness campaign, Enda's dad Gerry and Barabra Flynn from the Friedreichs Ataxia Society will be doing media interviews on TV3 in addition to national and local Radio and Press. The matchday programme will also highlight the campaign next Thursday.

The objective is to raise awareness of the condition and to raise funds to help care for people with this condition and for ataxia research.
As part of the fundraiser, the Rovers squad will be making a donation from their appearance fees at the Spurs game. There will be a collection at the ground on matchnight next Thursday v Spurs and, finally, an auction will be held to raise as much as we can for this worthy cause.

Auction details:

Item 1: Two match tickets for Rovers v Spurs, Europa League at Tallaght Stadium on Thursday Dec 15th.
Item 2: A day training with the first team squad for a two Rovers supporters during pre season 2012.

Item 3: Signed Spurs jersey.

Item 4: Signed Spurs ball.
