The Shamrock Rovers World Cup Sweepstake closes on Sunday and there are only 12 places left. You can still enter online here. Rovers supporters are invited to join our World Cup sweepstake that will be a fundraiser for the club and give all participants a chance to scoop a €320 prize pot. Just 32 tickets have gone on sale, one for each of the World Cup finalists. Each player will get a team drawn from a hat. The winner is the one whose team scores the most goals. But everyone is in with a chance as all the teams are handicapped, from Spain who start with no goals, to New Zealand and North Korea who start with 12 goals. Between the favourites and the outsiders, Germany start with 4 goals, Holland with 5, Ivory Coast with 6, Nigeria with 8, and so on. It costs €20 to enter (plus €1.50 admin fee). The draw for the sweeps 1 & 2 are here. So far for draw #3 we have: 1. John Dunne 21. Jason Maloney
