Michael O'Neill updates shamrockrovers.ie on Gary Twigg and his proposed two new signings. Michael O’Neill on Gary Twigg "Gary’s started a bit of jogging, but he has to get the stitches out of the wounds, and we think that will be done within the next few days. Then I think he can step training up slightly, but it’s a softly softly approach. I can’t say he’d be back in ten days or ten weeks. It won’t be as long as ten weeks, but once he comes back and starts to train we can monitor him closely and ensure that he’s ready to play when he’s ready. Obviously, we would like himself and Dessie back sooner rather than later".
Michael O’Neill on Chris Turner and Thomas Stewart "Turner is obviously a free agent according to the FAI. I believe there’s a right to appeal which has to pass, and subject to that appeal making the same ruling as the initial one, Chris will sign. He’s been training with the club for a considerable time, he wants to come to the club, and we want him here".
On Thomas Stewart’s signing, "we hope that will be completed this week. He has just one little situation that had to be resolved in the USA. He went out there and had a look at a club and decided that it wasn’t for him. Obviously we’ve been in contact and hope that he’ll be signed and available for Galway". |
