Man of the Match Text Competition

In April, we introduced a text competition that allows Rovers fans vote for their Man of the Match at each home game. The entry mechanic is the same each week - text Shamrock and your player selection to 53539

The winner is selected by the computer by picking a random number from all texts received for the most popular player selection for MOTM. A club official goes online just after the textline closes at each home match (five minutes before the final whistle) to get the winning player and texter. We then contact the winning fan who is presented by the man of the match with a ball signed by the squad and a picture of the presentation will appear in a future matchday programme and here on shamrockrovers.ie. The picture is available to the winning supporter as a jpeg.

Supporters Man of the Match Text Competition

Text SHAMROCK the players number to 53539 e.g. “SHAMROCK 9 to 53539”. All entries must be received by 21.40 on matchnight. The winner will be announced at the end of the match and will be presented with a matchball signed by the Rovers Man of the Match.
