Unlike most other Irish football clubs, Shamrock Rovers is owned by its fans and run by a board elected from its membership, with the support of many volunteers.
The bottom line for Shamrock Rovers is that its strength lies in its numbers - the more fans who are members, the stronger the club becomes, and the more able it is to make Shamrock Rovers great again.
Most fans have no choice but to be on the outside of their clubs. They can only hope to make a difference, and have no input into how the club they love is run or its future is shaped, no matter how strong, loyal or passionate their support.

From August 2013, there is a membership rate for Hooped exiles where you become a member of Shamrock Rovers F.C. if you are living abroad at a reduced rate of €300 per annum.
Overseas members availing of the reduced rate will retain full voting rights at the AGM in person or by proxy, however they will not be entitled to a complimentary season ticket and instead they will be given two complimentary tickets to four league games in a season. This offer is for people permanently resident overseas.
Membership includes: Part ownership of SRFC, Voting rights at AGMs, Access to the Glenmalure Suite, Exclusive member events, Newsletters, Annual Members Card & Pin Badge.
