Hooperman launched his 2011 election campaign at Tallaght Stadium today.
Hooperman put his first of many posters up at the Stadium, the home of his beloved Shamrock Rovers and where he lives. He also did some canvassing in the Killinarden area and was very well received by the people of Tallaght. Through his official spokesman, Hooperman said that "he loves the people and the people love him". Hooperman said he received many pledges of support and the people said that if they could support Hooperman the way he supports Shamrock Rovers then he is sure to get lots of No.1's. Hooperman said that his campaign will gather further momentum in the coming week and that the election will not distract him from preparations for the start of the new league season on March 4th. He said that "February 25th is a big day but the following Friday is even bigger". Hooperman finished by thanking Charlie O'Connor TD for the loan of a few cable ties that he needed to put his posters up. Lots more pics of the campaign launch are available here and thanks to the Hoopermaniacs for coming along to help.
